A BRIEF HISTORY OF STEVE

 

I have been involved in the picture industry since leaving college in 1994 where I joined Action Images Sports Picture Library.

 

That was my first foray into the world of photography and that passion hasn't diminished in over 25 years of picture research, picture editing, management, fee negotiation, licensing and rights clearances.

During that period I've sourced photographs and moving footage for magazines, television, record companies, advertising, digital marketing agencies & book publishers. 

​

I've worked with major brands on official publications from the likes of the Imperial War Museum, FIFA, London 2012 Olympics, Muhammad Ali Enterprises, Coldplay, The Royal Air Force, Spinal Tap, Royal Geographical Society and American Museum of Natural History, to name just a few.

​

I've sourced images for almost every subject imaginable from sports, entertainment, current affairs, art, fashion, history, architecture, lifestyle, wildlife, travel & humour and during that time I've built up strong relationships and an extensive network of contacts across multiple genres.

​

Aside from that I've gained a good knowledge of copyright law, budget management, commissioning and negotiating, and let's not forget a great visual eye to match the brief.

​

I've experienced working on Adobe Creative Cloud & content management software.

​

I'm based in South West London and flexible either travelling into the office or working remotely. 

​​

When I'm not looking at photographs or taking them, I like to play football, tennis, hike, and occasionally appear as an extra on TV.
